1

Context

In Cameroon, the internet penetration rate was about 41.9% in 2025, meaning 58% of the population isn't connected. Data usage is growing by about 10.4% per year, and average telecom spend is 2,735 FCFA per month, between 10,000 and 20,000 for data users. Internet has become a commodity.

2

Problem

A gigabyte costs between 500 and 700 FCFA depending on the operator, alternatives are rare, and Orange and MTN set the prices because they're the only ones able to distribute efficiently. The real obstacle is accessibility: fiber doesn't reach everywhere.

3

Solution

The open-air Cyber Café 2.0. You buy connectivity wholesale from an approved provider (Orange, MTN, Camtel) and resell it to individuals through a complete infrastructure: incoming signal, server and network, hotspot extensions, backup power. Customers pay by Mobile Money or cash, with a captive portal and an admin dashboard. The model is legal and regulated, with support from the regulator.

Important to highlight

Revenue depends on location. A site survey is mandatory before any equipment purchase: we verify that the site will be profitable from day one.
